Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

Duty Station: Machakos, Kitui and Makueni Counties, Kenya

Responsibilities:

• Train the KISC WASH project staff in collecting, analyzing and using data for programme indicators;
• Assist with facilitating monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual meetings to review program data for decision-making;
• Review existing approaches and management information system of the MOEST / MOH and agree on any required changes, support and resources;
• Develop a plan for project-related capacity building on M&E and for any computer-based support that may be required;
• Coordinate activities for all baseline assessments, Mid-Term and end of project evaluations;
• Review program data collected through registers and assist program staff in understanding and acting upon that data; and
• Together with KISC WASH staff, develop participatory methods of presenting information back to community members
• Any other tasks directed by the Project Manager

Knowledge, Abilities, and Experience:

• Experienced development professional with a bachelor’s degree in statistics, epidemiology, or related discipline;
• At least five years of experience monitoring and evaluating water and sanitation programmes within schools and community setting;
• Knowledge of and experience with M&E methods and approaches (including quantitative, qualitative, and participatory);
• Experience developing and implementing M&E systems; facilitating learning-oriented analysis sessions of M&E data with multiple stakeholders;
• An understanding of the Community Led Total Sanitation approach
• Skills in information analysis (computer literate) and report writing;
• Experience using statistical software packages such as SPSS, EPI Info and others.
